Sometimes, as photographers, we get in the zone and forget to listen to the ideas of those around us. If take a moment to listen to your assistants, subjects or others you might get a suggestion about a great shot. My assistant came up with the idea for this shot. Listening to her helped me to capture one of my most favorite images of this shoot. (Thanks Liz!) Lesson? Slow down, shut up and listen.
