Colorado Big Buck Sunrise

It's hunting season in Colorado.  To my surprise, this big buck stood still long enough for me to take his picture.  His other four buddies decided to run for it.  Hope you enjoy this shot as much as I do.

Abandoned Manitou & Pikes Peak Railway Car

I found this old railway car in the middle of a field east of Black Forest. Not sure how it got here, but it made me think of how things might have been during the time of it's hay-day. I can just imagine tourist, with their own cameras, hanging out the windows, staring in awe of the grandeur of Pikes Peak and Manitou Springs.

Onondaga Falls

This is Onondaga Fall in Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania. I get the impression that this is spectacular during the spring runoff. One of the many beautiful falls in this park.  I would love to see this one in the fall as well.  This is one of my new favorites.

Stop Shooting and Listen!

Sometimes, as photographers, we get in the zone and forget to listen to the ideas of those around us.  If take a moment to listen to your assistants, subjects or others you might get a suggestion about a great shot.  My assistant came up with the idea for this shot.  Listening to her helped me to capture one of my most favorite images of this shoot.  (Thanks Liz!)  Lesson?  Slow down, shut up and listen.
